Aretha Franklin, known as the “Queen of Soul,” performed on Live! with Kelly and Michael on Wednesday and she discussed one of her workout secrets after the performance.
Speaking with guest co-host Anderson Cooper and Kelly Ripa, Franklin said she has a “walking regimen” to burn off her indulgences on restaurants like Cracker Barrel and Bob Evans.
Franklin said she walks down the aisles of “super stores,” explaining "The biggest ones, K-Mart, Meijer, Wal-Mart. I really don't like to break my stride when I'm walking so I change aisles really quickly,” ABC News reports.
Last month, Franklin received an honorary degree from Harvard University. She was given an honorary doctor of arts for her vast success in the music industry, which includes being the most charted woman in music history, the first woman to be inducted into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame, 18 Grammys, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and The President Medal of Honor.
