It took a decade but dance-punk group Death From Above 1979 have announced that they will be releasing their first full-length album. The album which is titled The Physical World will be released on Sept. 9 through Last Gang Records/ Warner Bros. Records.

This is the groups first album since they released You're a Woman, I'm a Machine back in 2004, Billboard reported.

The group has not always been together, Sebastien Grainger and Jesse Keeler broke up back in 2006 but they came back together at secret show that took place at SXSW in 2011. The show was well so well attended that fans actually started to riot that they were unable to attend the show because of the small venue.

The duo said that it was because of the passion from fans that they wanted to release another album, NME reported.

"No matter what Jesse and I do, on whatever scale of success it's sat on, there's always some kind of reference to Death From Above," Grainger said. "It's only frustrating because it's so lazy. So we're putting out a Death From Above record and if the press is like, 'It's not what we expected,' or however they react to it, it's like, 'Well, you've been f--king asking for it," said Grainger.

This new album features some big names in rock 'n' roll including, D. Sardy who has produced work for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem and Oasis.
