The Bonnaroo at Manchester, Tennessee, has a record of being a very positive music festival. However, the audience wasn’t very positive towards Kanye West last night.
The audience of about 100,000 was fine with West during the beginning of his two hour performance. West then decided that he will spend his stage time telling the crowd messages they didn’t want to hear. First, West called out the press says Entertainment Weekly. He then went to comparing himself to some of the biggest names of rock history. His statements were then followed by boos along with group chants cursing out the rap star. People were said to be leaving during West’s outburst.
This wasn’t the first time West received a bad reaction from the Bonnaroo audience. In 2008, the musician was booed on stage at the same festival according to HipHopWired.
Maybe West did not get the reaction he wanted from the audience, but G.O.O.D. music did tweet that there is word of new music in progress.
