Bill Rancic is opening up about the miscarriage he and wife Giuliana Rancic’s surrogate recently suffered, explaining it has changed the Giuliana & Bill couple’s marriage for the better.
"Fortunately some time has passed and you're gonna find out in marriage, there's gonna be highs, there's gonna be lows and you're gonna have to battle things out. As for us, we're not quitters and we're going to hopefully have another baby one day soon,” he said on E! News Wednesday. He added, "Challenging times will bring you closer together in a marriage."
The couple revealed earlier this month thaat the same surrogate who carried their 21-month-old son, Duke, had suffered a miscarriage with their second child.
Giuliana acknowledged the rough road they had before welcoming Duke in 2012, as after years of trying to conceive naturally, she found out she had breast cancer in 2011, which led her to undergo surgery for a double lumpectomy.
"Before we had Duke, we had struggles there too,” she said. “We were trying for years to have a baby, we had a miscarriage then, so to see Duke, you realize, 'Wow. Everything is meant to happen for a reason.' And we wouldn't have Duke, so I mean it's pretty incredible to think how life works."
