A bomb that exploded outside a shopping mall in Nigerian’s capital city of Abuja has killed at least 21 people and left another 17 injured.
According to NBC News, two twin car bombs went off early Wednesday at the popular Banex Plaza shopping center.
Witnesses described a gruesome and chaotic scene after the blast of body parts scattered all over the area.
The car-bombing is the latest in what has become almost daily attacks on the country’s civilians.
On Monday, another explosion left at least eight people dead at a medical school in Kano.
It is not clear at this time if the extremist group Boko Haram is behind the attacks, but the militant group has claimed responsibility for similar attacks in the region.
Boko Haram is the same extremist group that garnered international attention after they kidnapped more than 200 schoolgirls last April from the Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok, Borno State.
U.S. drones and experts are among foreigners assisting in the search to rescue the girls who are still missing.
