The now famous Westboro Baptist Church is known for protesting high profiled events including many musical concerts, including a Brad Paisley concert that was taking place last Sunday in Kansas City.
Paisley decided to mock the protest with his own selfie and profiled the process through his Instagram account, Billboard reported.
The first of three Instagram's features Paisley pondering the idea about taking a "Westboro selfie."
The second video features Paisley getting out of his car and asking the protesters to come closer in order to get in his selfie photo.
One of the signs that is featured front and center in the picture is one that references drinking, which makes the post even more ironic because Paisley does not drink himself.
Paisley is currently on tour and will continue to play shows across North America through October. His next stop on the road is to play Columbia MD on June 12.
Rolling Stone added that Paisley will also be featured as one of the new judges on the upcoming reality singing competition, Rising Star.
