A spokesperson for the legendary radio host, Kasey Kasem, has confirmed that he’s been taken to a medical facility following a dramatic incident involving his wife, Jean Kasem, taking him away from their home last month.

Kasem’s spokesman, Danny Deraney, told The AP he was taken to the facility in Washington state on Sunday via ambulance at that his daughter, Kerri Kasem, was by his side.

After a judge ruled that Kerri Kasem would have a temporary conservatorship over her ailing father’s healthcare, Jean Kasem took the former American top 40 radio host without notice on their whereabouts. This led a judge to order an investigation to where they went and they were found in Washington state.

At the time, Deraney said “The family has grave concerns about his medical care."

Jean Kasem has kept her husband’s kids away from him for years, banning them from the home they lived in.

Kasem, 82, is said to suffer from dementia. In court on Friday, Kerri told the judge he’s also suffering from bedsores and lung and bladder infections.
