Casting is continuing for Straight Outta Compton, a film about the rap group, NWA. Universal put the word out on Wednesday, June 17 that it is still hoping to cast two of the main characters in the film.

Ice Cube and Dr. Dre are original members of the group and producers of the film, according to The Guardian. They took to Twitter recently to share some photos and put out additional word about casting. They are still looking for actors to portray MC Ren and DJ Yella.

The biopic will tell the story of the group that launched the careers of Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. The film deals with the impact the group had on the world of rap. The movie also discusses the controversial group and the way that they led an innovation in music and ignited “cultural war.”

Ice Cube posted a photo on Twitter while looking ahead to the film.

The director of the film is F. Gary Gray. Marcus Callender from Headshots & Breakdowns will portray a younger Dr. Dre. and Jason Mitchell (Contraband) who will play Eazy E.. According to Access Hollywood, the film is also being produced by Matt Alvarez and Tomica Woods-Wright, the widow of Eazy-E.

Straight Outta Compton will be released on August 14, 2015.
