It's been roughly six years since comedian Chris Rock was last on tour, but that drought is nearing an end.
Rock appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night and announced that he'll be going on tour this fall for the first time since 2008.
Rock also shared that the name of the tour will be "The Black Plague Tour", which he says was thought of and given to him by Kanye West.
The tour will almost certainly conclude with Rock releasing a special, through one medium or another. His last five specials have debuted on HBO, but times have changed a bit since he last released one. Rock's friend Louis C.K. gave the comedy world a revolution of sorts when he released his comedy special directly through his website, and since then comedians such as Aziz Ansari, Jim Gaffigan, and Todd Barry have followed suit.
Rock himself is no stranger to doing things differently, though. His last special, Kill The Messenger, was shot in three different cities, Johannesburg, New York, and London, and was edited into one cohesive performance.
Here's the clip of Rock's appearance on Fallon.
