Among the seemingly thousands of projects that actor/writer/director/producer/everything in-between James Franco is working on is The Disaster Artist, an adaptation of the book of the same name by Greg Sistero and Tom Bissell, based on Sistero's experiences making the notoriously terrible cult classic The Room.

Although details on the project are somewhat slim, one casting choice on the project has leaked out, as James's brother Dave will play Sistero.

As first reported by 3 News, Dave Franco was at a recent midnight screening of The Room in Los Angeles, and as writer/director Tommy Wiseau was fielding questions from the audience, he received the following question from Franco himself, which is transcribed below (apparently, they were also on the scene):

"To the crowd’s delight, actor Dave Franco stood up during a Q&A session and asked: 'Tommy, how do you feel about me playing Greg Sestero in the movie?'

The crowd erupted into cheers.

'That’s what I say: It’s a good choice!' said Wiseau."

Produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, The Disaster Artist is also set to have James Franco play the role of Wiseau in addition to directing, according to Rogen. Should that be true, the relationship between Wiseau and Sistero will likely be even weirder than it already is for audiences.

Dave Franco was last seen in Neighbors and will soon be seen in 22 Jump Street this weekend. There is no word on what level of development The Disaster Artist is at in the given moment.
