David Harewood, Ian McShane, Johnny Vegas and Gabourey Sidibe were added to the cast of the upcoming Sacha Baron Cohen comedy Grimsby.
The film, set to be helmed by Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me) and will focus on a British spy who has to go on the run and teams up with his football hooligan brother. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Strong (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), while Cohen is set to play the brother.
While addition of Harewood, McShane, Sidibe and Vegas were revealed, their roles are currently being kept secret. Harewood appeared on Showtime's hit drama Homeland, while McShane is set to appear in the upcoming Dwayne Johnson film Hercules. Sidibe was on the most recent season of FX's American Horror Story and Vegas has appeared and starred in several BBC series.
As previously reported, the comedy was co-written by Cohen, Peter Baynham and Phil Johnston. The film was set to be distributed by Paramount, but the project moved over to Sony, for unexplained reasons, in February.
The film is set for a July 31, 2015 theatrical release.
