Demi Lovato teamed up with British artist Cher Lloyd to send a very clear, and colorful message in the teaser for her new music video "Really Don’t Care," which is set to be released Thursday.
The song, is off her latest album Demi, which was released in May of last year. At first listen, "Really Don’t Care" may seem lyrically alike to many other popular songs with similarly defiant titles. Although what at first may be perceived as girl power takes a turn after looking at the high-speed version of her video.
MTV confirms that the video was shot at the Los Angeles gay pride parade on June 8, where the singer performed as Grand Marshall – somewhat of a ringmaster, responsible for entertaining participants and bystanders alike who numbered in the hundreds of thousands.
E! News reports that the story and personal relevance to Lovato is explained in the upcoming episode of Logo TV's Trailblazers, also out Thursday.
Be sure to take a gander at the video tomorrow, because whether the message resonates or not, its sure to be feast for the eyes.
