A year after the trio reunited for Kelly Rowland’s Talk A Good Game album and six months after reuniting for Beyoncé “Superpower” music video, the independent women has done it again, only this time for Michelle Williams’ spiritual single “Say Yes”. The Music video for the gospel song, that is off of Williams’ fourth coming album, Journey To Freedom.
The uplifting clip opens with Williams dancing in the street of an African neighborhood. Later, we see her dancing by a tree with a sun-setting background. Beyoncé makes her appearance dancing and singing the second verse. The “Pretty Hurts” singer debuts her new braids for the first time on camera. She then sings the chorus as she trades lines with Williams. Rowland joins the girls with her cool new look short haircut. Towards the end, the Grammy-winning triplets share a special moment dancing together, along with the neighborhood locals.
All three girls executed their parts. However, Williams shined the brightest, as she should in her own music video. The video wasn’t about being ultra-glamerous or the perfect lighting, it was about uplifting and good spirits and that is the exact energy that the video gave off. Ten years after their split, the group has not lost an ounce of chemistry.
