Horror fans dying to see to Jason Voorhees return to Camp Crystal Lake will have to wait just a little bit longer.
Paramount has delayed the upcoming reboot to the Friday the 13th franchise eight months, from the original release of March 13, 2015 to November 13, 2015, according to Coming Soon.
The studio has announced that Scouts vs. Zombies, a horror comedy from Paranormal Activity 5 director Christopher Landon, will now occupy this March 13 spot. Deadline reports that the Friday the 13th reboot will now only face competition from an untitled New Line comedy also scheduled for release on November 13.
This upcoming installment in the long running franchise will be directed by V/H/S director David Bruckner, as reported by The Wrap back in April. Though plot details have not been announced, the new film will evidently be a total reboot to the franchise, ignoring the previous 2009 film.
