Two young girls in Wisconsin stabbed their classmate to please the Slenderman. The popular figure which was created on a supernatural online forum 5 years ago was not the only reason for the attack.

According to the Boston Globe, the attorney for one of the girls, Anthony Cotton, said he believes she has mental issues. Cotton also believed that instead of being charged his client should go to the hospital.

The two teen girls were planning the attack on their classmate for several months. Discovery News, reports that the girls lured the 12-year-old victim into the woods. One girl held her down, and the other stabbed her 19 times.
The victim was found by a bicyclist who found her after she crawled to a road shortly after the attack.
If charged, both of the girls can get up to 65 years in prison. Cotton is planning on getting his client to go to juvenile court, instead of being tried as an adult.
