The Golden State Warriors reportedly have made it clear they would add Klay Thompson to a trade that would net them Kevin Love.
Sources who spoke with ESPN, say the Warriors are quite interesting in snagging the Minnesota Timberwolves' unhappy power forward and would be willing to part with Thompson.
The trade offer reportedly includes Thompson, David Lee and a first-round pick for Love, who has made it clear he really isn't interested in staying in Minnesota any longer. While the Timberwolves would prefer to keep the All-Star, it's a reality he won't resign at the end of his contract next year, so the team likely would rather not let him walk free.
Thompson's father Mychal, called in to ESPN LA 710 on Thursday and said that the Wolves would likely also ship veteran Kevin Martin to the Warriors as part of the deal. Other possible pieces include J.J. Barea and their first-round draft pick.
According to Yahoo Sports, several other teams, including the Chicago Bulls, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics and the Denver Nuggets, have expressed interest in acquiring Love.
The Nuggets have offered the Timberwolves small forward Wilson Chandler, power forward Kenneth Faried and guard Aaron Afflalo.
