Google Glass has partnered with fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg to help make its product appeal not only to nerds, but to those who value fashion as well.
According to ValueWalk, Furstenberg added five new frame styles that come in eight colors. Her designer frames will use the same technology as the original Google Glass but will cost a little more at $1,620 a pair. Google Glass debuted a few months ago at $1,500 a pair. Google is hoping that by adding more variety to its product then it will appeal to a wider array of people.
Google’s Google Glass is its first product that boasts “wearable technology”. The glasses contain a computing system that projects a small display into your field of vision. They are voice activated, with a side touching pad for manual use, Cnet noted.
Google Glass helps its user connect the internet with everyday life such as exercising and offers several applications for the users to get the most out of the product. Google hopes that its new technology will be used by businesses as well as people around the world, including doctors.
