Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton tells People Magazine in an interview published today that she is over her husband’s affair with Monica Lewinsky. She is focused on her political and personal future as she contemplates running for president in 2016 while eagerly awaiting a grandchild in the fall.
When questioned by People about Lewinsky’s recent article in Vanity Fair, in which Lewinsky told her side of the story, Mrs. Clinton said, “I think everybody needs to look to the future,” according to The New York Times. And as Mrs. Clinton looks to the future herself, it does not seem that she will be taking a passive role in today’s issues.
“I am concerned about what I see happening in the country and in the world. Through the next months, I will think more about what role I can or, in my mind, should play,” Mrs. Clinton told People, according to The New York Times.
Now, as she anticipates the release of her memoir, "Hard Choices", she has another hard choice to make. “To have a woman president is something I would love to see happen, but I’ll just have to make my own decision about what I think is right for me,” Mrs. Clinton told People, according to CNN.
