Actress Jane Lynch, known best for her work in Glee, will be appearing in a solo concert at 54 Below.
Lynch will be appearing at the legendary nightclub with a three piece band. The cabaret hall is in located downstairs the legendary nightclub, Studio 54.
Lynch will be singing songs from Irving Berlin including “Mister Monotomy” and “Slappin’ the Cakes on Me” by Dave Frishberg.
Musical theater fans know Lynch for playing Miss Hannigan in the musical, Annie. Lynch is glad to take the stage for cabaret. She told the Associated Press, “It's just a bunch of songs that I like to sing, hopefully some engaging patter, and I hope everybody has a good time and I'm not holding people hostage.”
Lynch will be appearing in her solo concert from on June 18-19 at 7PM and on June 20-21 at 8PM, and, according to Playbill.
The concert is a departure from Lynch’s film and television work, where she has been recognized with both a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy. Lynch has also appeared in Wreck-It Ralph and The 40-Year Old Virgin. For the small screen, the Glee actress has also appeared in Two and a Half Men and Desperate Housewives.
