FIFA released a statement earlier this week explaining that Jennifer Lopez would not be attending the FIFA world cup opening ceremony. The statement explained that Lopez would not be joining Pitbull and Claudia Leitte during the opening ceremony that will be taking place in Brazil.
Turns out Lopez will be heading to Brazil for the opening ceremony and will be performing. “I'm coming. I leave tonight. We always were going,” Jennifer said to the Associated Press.

Her reps also confirmed that Lopez would be attending the event to People magazine.
Lopez added that the officials running the program might have been nervous about her intense schedule but she was always planning on attending the event. "I think people get anxious, especially with me and my schedule when I'm like, 'Ah, OK, I can leave this day, that day, I don't know if we can make it," said Lopez.
The "First Love" singer is said to be performing "We Are One (Ole Ola)" alongside Pitbull and Claudia Leitte. They will be performing the song before the opening game in which Brazil takes on Croatia in Sao Paulo.
