Jennifer Lopez will not be performing during the opening of the World Cup this year. FIFA officials made the announcement today that Lopez would not be joining Pitbull and Claudia Leitte during the opening ceremony that will be taking place in Brazil.

Lopez was set to be performing at the opening ceremony but the changes to the lineup has been made because of unknown "production issues" according to the soccer's governing body, Billboard reported. Representatives from Lopez's team did not comment when asked about the change in performance schedule.

FIFA did release a statement saying that Pitbull and Claudia Leitte will sing the official tune "We Are One" during the opening ceremony. This will take place before the first match which will feature Brazil taking on Croatia at the Thursday opener in Sao Paulo.

Lopez was seen recently performing a free concert in the Bronx to kick off national music series, New York Daily News reported. The "Jenny From The Block" performed for 90 minutes for fans.
