John Lennon is known for his contribution to musical history and now fans can own a part of that history. Some of Lennon's original drawings and poems that were create by Lennon for his novel In His Own Write and A Spaniard in the Works will be available for auction.
AP reported the publisher, Tom Maschler, has owned the material for over half a century but is ready to offer it up for sale. The auction will be taking place at Sotheby's on Wednesday. The auction will feature 89 pieces of work from Lennon.
This will be the largest private collection of the Beatle's work to be featured on the public market. The prices for these paintings and works will range from $500 to $7,000.
The Daily Beast added that these works were created at the height of the popularity for the Beatles as a music group.
Before Lennon became famous for his music, he was an art studio who studied at the Liverpool School of Art.
