The wife of rocker Jon Bon Jovi was rushed to the emergency room over the weekend after she accidentally cut her hand.
According to the New York Daily News, authorities said the musician’s wife, Dorothea Hurley, sliced her palm while she was cutting vegetables at their Manhattan penthouse.
The New York Post noted that police sources said the 52-year-old was cutting an onion when the knife slipped out of her hand and caused a gash below her wrist.
Hurley was “bleeding heavily” when her superstar husband called 911.
After receiving several stitches the couple’s rep, Ken Sunshine, said that she was doing fine and that the couple even went out to dinner that same evening.
The singer, whose real name is John Bongiovi, met Hurley when the two were in high school. They married in 1989 and have four children together.
The band Bon Jovi has recorded numerous hits over the past few decades including Livin’ on a Prayer, You Give Love a Bad Name, It’s My Life and Have a Nice Day.
