Jonah Hill is apologizing once again for hurling a homophobic slur at a paparazzo that was following him around all day, this time taking time out of his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to do so.
The Wolf of Wall Street star, who will next be seen in 22 Jump Street with Channing Tatum, urged people to learn from his mistakes. He also cleared up he didn't use it in a "homophobic way."
"If someone says something that hurt you or angers you, use me as an example of what not to do,” he said. “Don't respond with hatred or anger, because you are just adding more ugliness to the world," The Hollywood Reporter reports. He also called the word he used "grotesque."
His initial apology featured the actor telling Howard Stern this was a “heartbreaking situation” for him because he’s actually a gay rights advocate and has a few close friends that are gay.
“From the day I was born, and publicly, I've been a gay rights activist. Now, this person, you saw a 40-second video,” he tried to reason. The original photo was posted to TMZ.
