Karen O is telling fans about her debut solo album, Crush Songs.

"When I was 27 I crushed a lot," says Karen O about the new record, according to NME. "I wasn't sure I'd ever fall in love again. These songs were written and recorded in private around this time. They are the soundtrack to what was an ever continuing love crusade. I hope they keep you company on yours."
Crush Songs will be available for pre-release as a limited, special vinyl edition. The album will incorporate Karen’s own personal drawings and handwritten lyrics.
Karen O is the lead vocalist for the band, Yeah Yeah Yeahs. She released the album, Mosquito with the group, according toBillboard. She collaborated with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross on a cover version of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song” for the film, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song for “The Moon Song” from Her.
Crush Songs was recorded between 2006 and 2007. It is scheduled to be released on September 9 through Cult Records.
