Among the multiple surprises seen in last month's X-Men: Days of Future Past was a brief, but memorable, cameo from Kelsey Grammer as Beast, a role that he had only played once previously in X-Men: The Last Stand. While that cameo was only meant to be a one-time deal it would seem, that hasn't stopped the actor from expressing his interest to return to the character.

While talking with Collider for his upcoming appearance in another big blockbuster, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Grammer talked about his appearance in the movie, telling them that he wasn't originally meant to be in the film and that he got in it by calling director Bryan Singer personally.

His quote on the matter were as followed:

“Actually I called Bryan. I bumped into Hugh Jackman and he said, ‘Oh you’re gonna be in another X-Men, mate!’ and I said, ‘No I’m not, I don’t know anything about it.’ So I made a couple of inquiries, got a hold of the script, found out that it’s primarily dealing with the past and that timeline I don’t have a place in, but I saw that at the end there was this coda where he made an appearance."

Going on from that, he added, "I said, ‘Listen, I really wanna be involved,’ so Bryan arranged for it and I had a lovely time.”

While most actors would probably dread having to put on that much make-up at a time, revealing that he enjoyed his time with the process and adding that, "“I hope to do another. I hope they find some way to come up with a new story that involves Beast in my timeline.”

In the recent movies, the role of Beast has been played by Nicholas Hoult, but with the series new timeline, it is possible that Grammer could be back for more movies. In fact, among the things that fans actually did like about X-Men: The Last Stand was Grammer's performance in the role, which suggest that they wouldn't object to him coming back to the make-up room anytime soon.

The new Transformers and X-Men movies are just the beginning for Grammer's appearances in summer blockbusters, as he was also just recently seen in this weekend's Think Like a Man Too, which took the number one spot at the box office this weekend, and will soon be seen in The Expendables 3.
