Kevin Smith posted of photo on Instagram of Justin Long in his forthcoming horror film Tusk on Monday.

The photo shows a bloodied Wallace Bryton (played by Long) supposedly in the aftermath of some kind of twisted surgery that has sewn his arms to his sides. He seems to be doing alright though, as he cracks a strained grin with both thumbs up. In the post, Smith wishes a happy birthday to “MR. TUSK himself, JUSTIN LONG,” adding the hashtag “WalrusYes”.

Tusk tells the story of Wallace Bryton—a podcaster and journalist—who goes missing in the backwoods of Manitoba while interviewing a seafarer named Mr. Howe. His best friend and podcast co-host (played by Haley Joel Osment), along with Wallace’s girlfriend, set out to find him.

The idea for Tusk was generated on Smith’s podcast SModcast, and then slowly blossomed in his mind—eventually becoming a full-fledged feature film. The film wrapped production 7 months ago after only three weeks of shooting.

A24 Films has acquired the domestic rights to the film, and will release Tusk in the fall according to Dread Central.
