Lady Antebellum impressed fans when they released Golden, which featured a variety of hits and the undeniably catchy and inspirational single, “Compass.” Now the superstar country music group is back with a new single, "Bartender" and they are proving that their sound is only getting better with time.

This is a different direction for Lady Antebellum, the song feels fresh, modern and proves that country music is becoming more mainstream with each single. The lyrics to "Bartender" are catchy, fresh and grab the audience from the opening line.

The song has a strong pop/rock vibe that crosses over with their well known country sound. The song never looses it hard hitting, high energy vibe that sets it apart from other country tracks that are currently on the radio.

"Bartender" has a slightly darker tone to the instrumentals. The track features heavy guitar influences which highlights Hillary Scott's powerful vocals. Scott really pushes the song forward and uses her vocal skills to really tell a story with "Bartender," which could have gone into the direction of being another stereotypical breakup country song but instead it feels like an reimagining of a well known topic.

The one thing this songs lacks is the dynamic between Charles Kelley and herself that has often helped the band reach the No. 1 spot on the charts. Kelley harmonizes with Scott on the track but never shines in his own right.

This song has all of the elements that Lady Antebellum fans love and will have a wide appeal across the pop and rock genre. Lady A's crossover appeal has helped them to become one of the most popular country music groups today.
