Mark Hamill took a break from Star Wars: Episode VII filming in London to visit Orlando, where he will take part in his first Star Wars Weekends event in Disney World. He spoke with the Orlando Sentinel about the franchise that changed his life and his future involvement.

In the interview, Hamill explained how he’s getting prepared for filming. “I’ve altered my diet. I’ve started working out. There’s that,” he said. In addition, he has already met the new members of the cast and has seen the technicians working on sets.

However, don’t expect him to spill any secrets. In fact, he urges fans to avoid all spoilers.

“I tell people we’re not trying to annoy you or tease you or play some massive game,” Hamill said about the secretive way Disney and Lucasfilm are revealing information. “Basically what the goal is to keep the surprises for the movie instead of spoiling them on the Internet.”

Hamill also said that the big Star Wars fans would have come after him if he turned down Disney and Lucasfilm when he was asked to come back.

“I would have a lot to answer for if I didn’t at least try to make the effort. It’s not like I had a choice. I feel like I was called up for service by the Selective Service,” he said.

The Star Wars Weekends events continue through June 15 at Disney World. Episode VII is set to open on Dec. 18, 2015.

Hamill will be joining his other fellow Original Trilogy stars, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, in the new film. Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o and John Boyega are among the new actors joining the franchise.
