While fans of 13 Going On 30 might hope that Mark Ruffalo keeps in touch with Jennifer Garner, they would be saddened to know that they don’t. Ruffalo puts all the blame on her husband, Ben Affleck.
During a Watch What Happens Live taping this week with Andy Cohen, the Begin Again star was asked by a fan if he still keeps in touch with Garner. “We had a great time together, and I think we would, but then Ben[Affleck] came on the scene. And that was the end of that,” Ruffalo replied, notes E! News.
Cohen then told Ruffalo that, “I heard he doesn't allow her to have male friends,” reports Us Weekly. At that point, Cohen said he was just joking. “I made that up!” Cohen said.
However, there was a point where Ruffalo could have responded, but he shrugged and didn’t say anything. He later called it “sad” that he doesn’t stay in touch with Garner.
Garner and Affleck have been married since 2005, a year before 13 Going On 30 hit theaters. Of course, Affleck shouldn’t have any reason to worry about Ruffalo, since he’s been married to actress Sunrise Coigney since 2000. They have three children together, as do Affleck and Garner.
Ruffalo has been busy promoting Begin Again with Keira Knightley, which opened last weekend. He’s currently working on Avengers: Age of Ultron.
