A man held up a hotel in Georgia and after taking bundles of cash realized he was being filmed and left in tears.

WSB-TV reported that police are searching for a man who held up a Days Inn last Monday and fled the scene in tears after he noticed the surveillance camera filming him.

Investigators said the bandit walked into the establishment and pointed a gun at the female clerk. He then proceeded to take money out of the cash drawer and at one point looked directly into the camera he didn’t know was there.

The man then demanded access to the safe and the video.

"He threatened her and said, ‘Hey, if you don't I'll shoot you,’" said DeKalb County detective P.A. Wright. "But she was like, 'I still don't know how to work it.' At that point he was so frustrated, he left crying."

In the video, the crook can be seen wiping his tears as he walked out of the hotel presumably because he knows he won’t be free for too long.

The New York Daily News noted that he got away with an undisclosed amount of cash and witnesses said that he was seen leaving in a black Oldsmobile.

Anyone with information about the suspect or the vehicle involved is asked to contact authorities.
