More details are surfacing about the shocking death of The Shield actor Michael Jace’s wife, April Jace, who he has been accused of murdering last month.
A 911 call, which hasn’t been released, shows Jace actually called his father-in-law right after it happened and asked him to pick up their two children.
Fox News reports that a 3-minute phone call made by April’s father, whose name hasn’t been released, features him telling the dispatcher, “My son-in-law called me, and (texted) me, and said come get the kids because he shot April, our daughter.”
According to USA Today, Jace even called 911 himself to turn himself in for fatally shooting his wife.
Jace’s attorneys wouldn’t comment on the new recording, but would only say "We have the utmost concern for the Jace children. Mr. Jace has a constitutional right to a defense. It remains extremely early and we are still in the fact finding process."
Jace, who plays a cop on Shield, shot his wife on May 19 reportedly in front of their new young sons.
