The queens of country music, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, team up for the former’s new single “Somethin’ Bad” off of her latest album. The video may prove to be the country equivalent to Shakira and Rihanna’s “Can’t Remember To Forget You”, and yes, as expected, the blonde bombshells make bad look so very great.

The conceptual video plays like a movie trailer, the video begins with both ladies disguised in wigs, working in a bank, with various scenes of them putting together a heist, while executing hair-tossing angst as they sing in front of a police line-up wall. From running a poker game scam to entering the bank for a massive jewel heist, the video depicts a true-to-hollywood trailer, a Thelma and Louise, girls-gone-bad, buddy movie.

“Somethin’ Bad” is a boot-stomping, rock and roll ride, with both singers at their best, delivering a curt, angry chorus, along with their own individual styles seeping through their individual verses. Much like Underwood’s “Before He Cheats”, “Somethin’ Bad” evokes that same kind of anthemic girl-power, don’t-mess-with-me attitude throughout, making it destined for radio and chart greatness.

“Somethin’ Bad” is on Lambert’s new album Platinum, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, giving Lambert her first No. 1 album.
