Miranda Lambert has earned her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 charts with her new release, Platinum.

Billboard reported that Platinum has sold over 180,000 copies in the week which ended on June 8, according to Nielsen SoundScan. This is the fifth studio release from Lambert and features the singles, "Somethin' Bad" which features Carrie Underwood and "Automatic."

Lambert is adding her name to a list of Billboard chart-toppers, a list that contains only 11 other female country artists.

Lambert has also achieved another musical record: every consecutive album that she has released has had an increased debut and larger number of sales than the previous. Her last studio album, Four the Record sold, 133,000 copies it's first week, about 47,000 less than this newest album.

This will be the largest sales week for a female country artist since Taylor Swift released Red. Red sold 241,000 copies back in December of 2012,held the No. 1 spot for nine weeks, and ended up selling over 1 million copies.

The only other artist to break into the top-10 this week was 50 Cent with Animal Ambition. The album sold 47,000 copies, USA Today added, which is a far cry from Platinum's 180,000.
