Miss Delaware, Amanda Longacre, has had her crown taken away from her on account of pageant officials considering her too old to hold the title of Miss Delaware 2014.

Although she stated the correct birthdate and information on her application and it was signed off on, she’s being stripped of her title just two weeks after winning the pageant.

Longacre, 24, is no longer eligible to compete in September’s Miss America pageant, and her title and prizes have been taken from her.

“They deleted me off of everything, they’re ignoring me. They deleted me off the [Facebook] group and put up a press release announcing a new Miss Delaware,” she said, NBC News reports.“I was told I could compete by people who have been doing this for 30 years. I did everything right and it was all in front of them.”

Even though Longacre won’t turn 25 until October – after the Miss America pageant - she will then surpass the age limit.

According to WLTX, runner-up Brittany Lewis was given the crown during a ceremony on Thursday night, however, she’s the same age as Longacre.
