Paul White, who goes by Christina, has been arrested by Burrillville, Rhode island, police after she allegedly gave alcohol to her young daughter and two other girls.
According to CBS Boston, White was arrested late Tuesday after her neighbor reported the incident to the police. Chrystal Chamberlain and Jamie Taft reported that their daughter did not come home when she was supposed to, so the two parents set out to find her. To their surprise they found their 10-year-old daughter intoxicated and unaware of her surroundings.
“She was out of it. She was slurring her speech, she was stumbling. She was emotional. She was just drunk, she was completely drunk,” Chamberlain said according to CBS Boston.
The three girls were rushed to the hospital, where they each fully recovered. Chamberlain and Taft’s daughter’s blood-alcohol content level was dangerously high at 0.084. When asked if she had given alcohol to minors, White claimed that she would not do something like that. She admitted to having alcohol in her home but insisted that the girls had gotten into it while she was not paying attention.
White has a hearing scheduled on Wednesday at the Providence District Court. She faces charges of aiding in child delinquency along with giving alcohol to a minor. Her daughter is currently being held by the Department of Child, Youth, and Family services, to The Associated Press noted.
