Don’t expect to hear that squeaky-voiced Kim Kardashian impression that Nasim Pedrad does during Saturday Night Live’s next season. The actress implied in a new interview that she has moved out to Los Angeles full-time, meaning that it’s unlikely that she will be returning.
Pedrad stars in Fox’s new comedy Mulaney, which stars former SNL writer John Mulaney and films in Los Angeles. It has been widely rumored that she will leave SNL, especially since Fox seems optimistic about the show’s prospects.
“I haven’t heard any official word so far, but I love this show so much,” Pedrad told BuzzFeed of Mulaney. “I have an apartment in L.A. and, as far as I know, I’m in L.A. now.”
She added that if there was a way for her to do both shows, she would, but “I think we’re all in” with Mulaney.
Fox has been excited about Mulaney since October, since it put in a series order for the show, which will be produced by Universal TV. Pedrad plays one of Mulaney’s roommates.
In addition, Fox has ordered 10 more episodes of the show and it will debut this fall.
NBC has not commented on Pedrad’s situation, noting that SNL casting decisions for next season haven’t been made.
