The Associated Press reported Sean Maloney and Randy Florke were married on Saturday in Cold Spring, New York at the Church of St. Mary-in-the-Highlands.

They have three children together, the youngest of whom made a Christmas wish wanting her parents to get married. Florke then proposed to his partner, who is reportedly just one of two Congress members to be married to their partner of the same sex.

Maloney, 47, is a representative of the Hudson Valley region in New York City and Flore, 51, is an executive for is own real estate and design firm.

NBC News reported that in a statement, the couple said, “Even after 22 years together, we’re overwhelmed by how blessed we feel to celebrate this special day with our friends and family.”

A spokeswoman for Maloney said the couple wouldn’t be going on a honeymoon as Maloney is getting ready for a primary for Tuesday.

Democrat Barney Frank became the first openly gay congressman to marry his partner in 2012, while Democrat Mark Pocan married to his partner before he was in congress.
