The domestic violence case between Paul Simon and his wife Edie Brickell stemming from April has been dropped by a Norwalk, Connecticut prosecutor. The couple of 22 years were arrested on April 26 for disorderly conduct after an explosive argument.
At the time, a police report stated that Brickell, 48, was the aggressor and was described as having a “moderate odor of alcohol” on her breath. They showed up in court that Monday morning, holding hands and downplaying their fight. She reportedly told the police investigating the incident “there were other physical confrontations in the relationship” before.
Brickell told CNN in a statement, "I got my feelings hurt and I picked a fight with my husband," Brickell said. "The police called it disorderly. Thank God it's orderly now."
Simon, 72, is one half of the renowned group Simon and Garfunkel. He then launched a successful solo career with hits like "Still Crazy After All These Years" and "Graceland.”
Brickell and Simon have three children together.
