A Pennsylvania man shrugged off getting stunned by police to lead them on a car chase after he stole a Salem, New Hampshire police car early Saturday morning.
Robert Zygarowski was pulled over just after midnight by police in Salem and he struggled against their attempts to arrest him. Officer Adam Pearson tried to stun the unruly driver, who simply knocked the barbs off and after attacking him, Zygarowski got back into his car and took off.
CBS Boston reports that Zygarowski was forced to stop with police on his tail after a tire blew out.
The 52-year-old jumped out of the car and after momentarily running towards Pearson, instead jumped into the police cruiser and took off.
According to The Associated Press, Zygarowski drove to a Methuen, Massachusetts' gas station, where the clerk called police after the man started talking about shooting people.
Police caught up with Zygarowski just past a local IHOP and after another struggle, were able to subdue the unruly man. He has been charged for resisting arrest, assault and more.
There were two other occupants inside Zygarowski's car, but they were cooperative and have not been charged.
