Rick Ross was arrested in North Carolina on Friday on an outstanding warrant.

In 2013, Ross was arrested in N.C. on marijuana possesion charges and later failed to appear in court. As the rapper returned to the state to perform at the SuperJam, police were ready to take him into custody after his performance at the Greensboro Coliseum, according to Greensboro Police Department spokeswoman, Susan Danielson, USA Today reports.

TMZ reports that the rapper cooperated with police and was released on $1000 bail.

Rick Ross, or officially William Leonard Roberts II, has had his fair share of altercations with authority. According to Billboard, he's been arrested in multiple states on multiple charges.

He was arrested in Miami in 2008 on gun and marijuana charges, and also in 2011 in Shreveport, L.A. for possession of the drug. In 2008, Ross was sued in civil court for assault and battery in Houston. The rapper has also been sued for copyright infringement in 2010 in California and 2011 in Memphis.
