After a number of teaser videos, Rise Against has finally revealed the title and release date of their first full-length album since 2011’s Endgame.
Yesterday, the alternative rock group posted a video to their website stating that they will be releasing their new album The Black Market on July 15 via Interscope Records.
The video, which was also posted to social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, plays a snippet of the bands first single off the album, titled “I Don’t Want To Be Here Anymore,” according to the Alternative Press. The single is expected to be released on streaming sites and will be available for download on June 10.
“Rise Against has always been a political band, but also a personal band,” Frontman Tim McIlrath said. “We’ve always had songs that have a foot in both worlds. This album is a lot more introspective to me,” McIlrath said about The Black Market.
Rise Against has been nominated for the Philanthropic Award at the inaugural Alternative Press Music Awards for their part in Shirts For A Cure. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from Rise Against Shirts For A Cure merchandise goes to fighting breast cancer and providing financial assistance to women who cannot afford cancer treatment.
