In an effort to help push him further into the US market, British singer Sam Smith has enlisted the ‘Queen of Hip-Hop/Soul’ Mary J. Blige for a new single version of his rising hit song “Stay With Me”. Billboard reported that the new single was released to Itunes on June 2nd.

The new version of the soulful ballad shows Mary J. Blige singing the second verse with the original lyrics, but making it her own. The two soul crooners don’t sing any lines together, but Blige provides a few adlibs over the final chorus that Smith sings.
Sam Smith admitted that not only is he a fan of the “Be Without You” vocalist but that she is one of his idols. "I remember holding her album in my hands in the car when I was a young boy. To meet your idols is a magical thing, but to work with them is truly a dream come true." He said in a statement.

Good Morning America debuted the video of the duet.
