It has been awhile since we heard about Chef. No, not the acclaimed Jon Favreau comedy that’s been in theaters for a few weeks. We’re talking about Chef, the serious drama from August: Osage County director John Wells and starring Bradley Cooper. Sienna Miller is joining the cast of the project and since The Weinstein Company hasn’t come up with a new title yet, we’ll still call it Chef - Wells Style.

Miller’s role is unknown at the moment, but her casting was first reported by Variety. She joins Cooper and Omar Sy in the film.

Chef was first reported on back in May 2013 and Cooper later committed to do it. The plot centers on a famous Paris chef who experiences a meltdown and tries to go sober and re-establish himself. It was written by Steven Knight.

The American Hustle actor has just finished Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper, which also stars Miller, who is in the middle of a comeback. She also starred in Bennett Miller’s Foxcatcher, which earned rave reviews at Cannes, and is currently working on the Whitey Bulger biopic Black Mass.

The Weinstein Company, which also released August: Osage County last year, has not set a release date for Chef. Hopefully by the time it comes out, though, the film will get a new title. Perhaps they will try John Wells’ Chef, since that worked for Lee Daniels’ The Butler.
