Before fans can get in line to experience the latest Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy on August 1, they can get the chance to get an exclusive sneak peek of the movie in IMAX 3D in their local theaters a little less than a month before. Better yet, it's completely free.
On July 7, over 150 theaters across the country will be showing a 17-minute preview of Guardians of the Galaxy in IMAX 3D. By clicking on their website, fans can determine if they are able to be among the first in the country to see exclusive footage from the new blockbuster.
Of course, Marvel is not the first to practice this technique. Back in 2009, before it became the highest grossing movie of all-time, Avatar pulled a similar event, calling it "Avatar Day" and showing footage from the film to 342 different locations across the globe before its release. Considering the movie's success, it's safe to say that the trick probably had some level of success, and it looks like Marvel is trying to capture some of it.
So, if you want to get the free opportunity to see some of Guardians of the Galaxy before everyone else and brag about it, click on the link above and see if you can get yourself a ticket.
