CBS New York reported that witnesses said the man was stabbed minutes before walking down the block and into the McDonald’s in the Jamaica, Queens section of New York City.
Everybody was standing there to make sure he didn’t fall backwards on the knife,” said witness Tromaine Yancey.
Yancey said that she believed the 50-year-old man, was talking on the phone to a loved one. She recalled him saying that it might be the last time he and the person on the other end would speak.
The victim eventually collapsed and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Police are searching for who may be responsible and trying to determine what sparked the stabbing.
