It may sound like a joke, but it was not funny for anyone trying to eat at the McDonald’s on Sutphin Boulevard and 91st Street in Jamaica, Queens Tuesday morning. At around 10 a.m., a stabbing victim walked into the restaurant, with the knife still in his back and a trail of blood on his shirt.
Witness Tromaine Yancey told CBS New York that there was screaming and commotion in the McDonald’s as the man walked in. “The guy came and he was standing there with a knife in his back and it was a kitchen knife,” she said.
According to WABC, victims were surprised that the man appeared to be in no pain. The 50-year-old man was not seriously hurt, but he was taken to Jamaica Hospital.
Investigators told CBS NY that people saw a fight on the street corner before the man walked in. Yancey said he was talking on the phone with his family, “telling them it might be the last time he’s speaking to them.”
Another witness said that the man may have been stabbed following an altercation on Monday.
PIX11 reports that the suspects are still at large.
