A 14-year-old Texas boy is in critical condition after being brutally attacked in a Dallas park by four of his friends.
The violence occurred when the teen, Manuel Sendejas, got into an argument with the four boys while they were walking near the train tracks in Westhaven Park on Tuesday. The four boys, all between the ages of 13-15 began attacking Sendejas, stabbing his numerous times with a screwdriver, slicing his throat and beating him with rocks, the Daily News reported.

“They were just steadily trying to kill him,” Sendejas’ step father Jorge Castillo told a local news station according to the Daily News. Although the teen could barely talk after receieving 30 stitches where they slashed his throat, Sendejas was able to tell his family and officials where he had been stabbed and by whom.

The teen was left unconscious and bleeding, but managed to gain the strength to crawl to a nearby road to wave for help. According to WFAA.com, three of the four suspects were in police custody, but the fourth remains missing.

So far, they are still investigating a possible motive for the attacks.
