We're still about five months away from the next installment in The Hunger Games series, but the marketing team behind the film appear ready to whet fans' appetites, and today they did just that with a brief PSA from Donald Sutherland, aka President Coriolanus Snow.
The clip opens with a Capitol TV stinger, and then we are presented with the profile of Snow, sitting on a white throne with a white backdrop, donning an all white wardrobe to match his white hair and beard.
"Since the dark days, our great nation has known only peace," Snow says over pleasantly moving music.
As he delivers his address, words like "unity" and "prosperity" fade on and off the screen.
"Your hard work feeds us, and in return we feed and protect you," he continues.
An ominous, low piano chord is struck in the soundtrack, and the word "sacrifice" appears on screen.
"But if you resist the system, you starve yourself," Snow sternly warns his people," If you fight against it, it is you who will bleed."
The camera pans back to reveal Peeta standing at attention next to his throne, similarly cloaked in white.
"I know you will stand with me, with us, with all of us, together as one. Panem today. Panem tomorrow. Panem forever.," he concludes.
Viewers can go to the Capitolwebsite to further delve in to the world of Panem.
