Does Kevin Hart ever relax? We assume not, because he’s back at the box office again with Think Like A Man Too. The sequel to the 2012 surprise hit sneaked into theaters Thursday night and got off to a fantastic start.

The Screen Gems release opened at over 1,800 locations last night, pulling in $1.8 million, notes Deadline. That’s better than Hart’s other 2014 hit, Ride Along, which made $1.06 million at early screenings. About Last Night made just $525,000 from early showings.

Ride Along and Think Like A Man Too were also directed by Tim Story, who did the original Think Like A Man, as well. They are also Sony releases produced by William Packer. Clearly Sony is enjoying the Hart success and are also working on a Ride Along 2.

The Hollywood Reporter is expecting the new film to open at No. 1 with around $30 million. Think Like A Man did make $33.6 million when it opened, so that’s the target. The new film cost Sony around $26 million to produce.

The other wide release this weekend is Clint Eastwood’s Jersey Boys adaptation, which has been met with a mixed critical response. It did have midnight screenings, notes Deadline, but those numbers aren’t available yet. The movie could be a flop for Warner Bros. and is only expected to make $12 million.

Sony could actually own both spots at the top of the box office. Holdover 22 Jump Street is expected to do well again in its second weekend.
